Inter seek Adriano-Cassano swap

Real Madrid are interested in Adriano and might offer Inter a swap deal including Antonio Cassano, hinted sporting director Predrag Mijatovic.
The Nerazzurro struggled this season, failing to impress on the field and hitting the headlines for his behaviour off the pitch, and had already been paired with Los Blancos last summer.
“He has always impressed us positively,” said Mijatovic in an interview to Spanish newspaper ‘AS’.
“I know him very well, I used to play with him when we were at Fiorentina,” added the former striker.
“I rate him highly because I believe he has great potential, he can score from any position.”
President Massimo Moratti recently stated that he would not let Adriano leave, as he considered him one of the best players around despite his crisis, but things seem to have changed in the meantime.
Cassano was already linked with Inter in January and could be included in a swap deal, as it seems clear that the 24-year-old is not part of the club’s plans.
“We know that Cassano wants to return to Italy, at the end of the term we will meet to see if we can grant the player’s wish.
“Now however it is too early to discuss this issue, we want to focus on the last two matches of the campaign. We want and can win the championship,” concluded Mijatovic.
The Merengues were the protagonists of an impressive comeback and now lead the table with 72 points, alongside Barcelona and two points ahead of Sevilla.
If Adriano is excluded from Inter for his party animal lifestyle, then Cassano is hardly the ideal replacement.
The ‘Gazzetta dello Sport’ claims that last week he was thrown out of the Real Madrid squad, immediately flew to Rome to visit his mother and hosted a house party.
Neighbours who were angered at the noise allegedly called in the police. The day after this incident, Cassano was spotted in local nightclubs.
