26 mins: Paulo Cesar is penalised after contesting a high ball with Arbeloa. Reina to take the free-kick 30 yards from his own goal.
25 mins: Benitez off the bench and into the technical area for the first time as Liverpool take their foot off the gas.
24 mins: Mathieu breaks again, but his attempts to go round Finnan are distinctly unsuccessful.
23 mins: Another decent passing move from Toulouse, Bergougnoux and Mathieu linking up on the left to get a cross into the box, but it's easy for Reina. Liverpool just guilty of standing off the play there.
22 mins: Better spell for Toulouse here, with Emana making his presence felt. He breaks into the area, but is dispossessed by Carragher. The ball comes out to Borgougnoux, whose cross deflects into Reina's arms.
21 mins: Carragher gets across to prevent Emana's flick finding Elmander.
20 mins: Half-chance for Toulouse, but Elmander's specualative 25-yard strike has no power and is easily gathered by Reina.
19 mins: Good skills from Babel, cutting in from the right and finding Voronin. He tries to play a first-time pass into the run of Gerrard, but it's intercepted. Liverpool starting to play some nice football here, and they are in complete control at this stage.
18 mins: Voronin releases Crouch, but he's strayed a fraction offside so his attempted chip into the net is futile. Just as well, as it was rubbish, drifting about six yards wide of the target.
17 mins: Liverpool starting to get some joy on the right, Finnan setting Babel away, but his cross is smartly gathererd by keeper Douchez.
16 mins: Finnan is held up on the right by a couple of defenders, but does well to create the space for a cross. It's a decent ball in as well, but Mathieu just gets his head to the ball before Gerrard.
15 mins: Toulouse's best passage of play, as Dieuze sweeps a superb crossfield pass to Paulo Cesra, who brings the ball down very nicely. He gets past one man on the right, but Hyypia again gets across to snuff out the threat.
14 mins: Hyypia plays the ball long from the back, but it clears Gerrard and runs out of play for a goal-kick.
13 mins: Toulouse come again, but Elmander's attempts to bring Sirieix into the play are thwarted by Carragher.
12 mins: Good sweeping up from Hyypia as Toulouse launch a rare attack.
11 mins: No doubt Toulouse are set up to defend here with their makeshift backline. Liverpool enjoying huge amounts of possession, but it's all in front of the home defence.
10 mins: Crouch and Benayoun link up nicely on the left, and Benayoun gets into the area. The move peters out in the end, but Benayoun might have just been clipped there as he broke into the area. He stayed on his feet when he could easily have gone down.
9 mins: Good ball from Mascherano to Babel on the right, who turns the ball back inside to Gerrard. But Sirieix gets a foot in at the expense of a throw.
8 mins: Hyypia's pass from the back is careless, giving possession away to Fofana, but the Cameroon international gives the ball straight back to Liverpool.
7 mins: Crouch breaks down the left for Liverpool, but slightly overruns the ball and Cetto is able to bring it clear for the home side.
6 mins: Gerrard plays a lovely ball out to Babel on the wing, but the move breaks down. Patience will be the key for Liverpool here - Toulouse don't look keen to commit too many men forward.
5 mins: Toulouse get a chance to release the pressure as they get a free-kick in their defensive third.
4 mins: Liverpool enjoying plenty of possession in the early minutes here. In this heat, you don't want to be chasing the ball too much.
3 mins: Gerrard goes for goal, but his low, curling effort bounces wide of the target.
2 mins: Voronin wins another free-kick for Liverpool as Cetto climbs all over the striker. Very much in Gerrard territory.
1 mins: Gerrard gets caught in possession in midfield, but the Greek referee rather generously gives Liverpool a free-kick to ease the pressure.
1 mins: Paulo Cesar breaks down the right in the first attack, but his cutback is easily mopped up by Arbeloa.
