Xabi Alonso agrees Juve move

Juventus will complete Xabi Alonso’s £13.4m move from Liverpool before Tuesday, according to the Italian media.
The Bianconeri have been linked with the midfielder for some time, but latest reports suggest the deal is finally done.
The Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport maintain Liverpool have agreed to hand over the Spaniard for £13.4m.
Agent Inaki Ibanez is due to fly in to Britain on Monday or Tuesday to finalise the details and deliver the signed contracts.
Xabi Alonso is expected to feature in today’s match against Sweden and it could well be his final international as a Liverpool player.
He has already agreed a four-year contract worth £2.7m per season plus bonuses tied to results and performance.
Xabi is at Euro 2008 and so will only be able to undergo a medical after the tournament is finished, although there is the possibility of a brief trip to Turin for the tests.
He joins fellow former Liverpool midfielder Momo Sissoko in Claudio Ranieri’s squad. |
