Aragones 'to take over at Fenerbahce'

Spain coach Luis Aragones is to take over at Turkish giants Fenerbahce, according to reports.

The 69-year-old will take over after Euro 2008, according to Madrid-based sports daily Marca, but the move has not yet been made official so as not to disrupt Spain's progress in the tournament.

Aragones would take over from Brazilian coach Zico, who resigned earlier this month after two years in charge, leaving behind a talented squad including Brazilians Roberto Carlos and Alex, as well as Serbia striker Mateja Kezman and Turkey Euro 2008 stars Semih Senturk, Mehmet Aurelio and Colin Kazim-Richards.

Fenerbahce finished second in last season's Super Lig, six points behind Galatasaray, to seal a place in the Champions League.

They reached the quarter-finals of last season's competition, where they were knocked out by eventual finalists Chelsea.

Aragones has been a controversial presence as coach of Spain, most notably in 2005 when he was fined for making racist remarks about France striker Thierry Henry.

Sevilla seal Navarro swoop

Sevilla have completed the signing of Spain international left-back Fernando Navarro from Real Mallorca.

The 25-year-old, who is currently on international duty at the European Championships, will cost Sevilla around five million euros.

A statement on Los Che's official website read: "With Navarro, the club will fill a void left by the exit of David Castedo and the tragic death of Antonio Puerta.

"Throughout the campaign, this area has given coach Manolo Jimenez more than the one headache, but he is finally going to a have a man who offers true guarantees."

Twenty-five-year-old Navarro started his club career with Barcelona, but a serious knee injury put paid to his chances of becoming a first-team regular at the Camp Nou.

Following a loan spell at Albacete he moved to Mallorca in 2005 and sealed a permanent switch with an impressive first campaign for the Islanders.
