成日俾人拿來同老摩比較,好unfair
而且當時很多人都仍然覺得老摩唔應該被炒,結果令到佢無端端俾人厭惡

現在能夠做到咁既地步可能已經是一個無奈的勝利?

Reports: Mancio snubbed by Blues

There are rumours that Inter Coach Roberto Mancini has suffered a humiliating rejection from Chelsea.

Mancini’s future is up in the air in spite of last weekend’s Scudetto success.

The Ancona-born tactician has been tipped for a San Siro exit since he threatened to quit the Beneamata back in March and Portuguese mastermind Jose Mourinho has been widely backed as his successor.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Inter boss approached Chelsea yesterday in the immediate aftermath of Avram Grant’s dismissal, but he was snubbed.

“His representatives have repeatedly knocked on our door, but he isn’t our man,” a source inside the club is reported as saying.

Mancini is expected to meet with President Massimo Moratti within the next week to discuss the direction they will take, but is currently refusing to talk to the Press as rumours perpetuate.

Moratti has stressed his desire to keep his current man in the hot seat, but he could be forced to look for an alternative this summer.

Russia coach Guus Hiddink remains in the frame for the vacant Chelsea job.

The Observer says Chelsea have been involved in secret conversations with Hiddink, whose position as Russia's national coach is not as secure as has been presented. The Dutchman has a provisional contract to coach Russia until the 2010 World Cup, but that will not be ratified until after Euro 2008 and senior figures in the Russian Football Union are unimpressed by the team's qualification campaign.

'Almost is nothing' says Mourinho


Jose Mourinho has described Chelsea's season as 'really bad' and insists the London club's campaign could only be described as great by someone with 'the philosophy of a loser'.


The former Chelsea boss was speaking before his successor Avram Grant was sacked, but was critical of the 52-year-old Israeli's short stint in charge at Stamford Bridge.

Mourinho, when asked if the season had been a good one as depicted by Grant, told The Observer: 'That depends on your philosophy of leadership.

'In my philosophy it was a very bad one because in football 'almost' means defeat and Chelsea almost won the Carling Cup, almost won the Champions League and almost won the Premier League. Almost is nothing.

'After two titles per season for the last three years there were zero titles this season, which in my philosophy means a really bad season. Maybe in the philosophy of a loser this was a great season, which I respect.'

Mourinho admitted to being 'very sad' at Chelsea's defeat in Moscow to Manchester United, adding that the supporters, the board and many of the players 'deserve more'.

However, he sounded a note of optimism, adding: 'I believe that after an empty season new success will come to Chelsea. And I will always be a Chelsea supporter
