Leeds' McAllister Wants Liverpool Pair Nemeth & Ajdarevic On Loan
Submitted by Jake Briggs on Tue, 2008-06-24 17:50. Liverpool Premiership Transfer News Leeds United manager Gary McAllister has been linked with Premier League club Liverpool duo Krisztian Nemeth and Astrit Ajdarevic.
According to TeamTalk, the former Liverpool and Scotland star is interested in taking the two player’s on-loan from the Reds, and has invited them to join up with the Elland Road side for pre-season training.
19-year-old Nemeth has been in prolific form for the reserves, scoring 8 goals in 9 appearances, earning praise from both Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez and reserve team manager Gary Ablett, who likened the striker to Anfield legend Kenny Dalglish.
Ablett feels it would be beneficial for the Hungarian Under-21 International to go out on a season long loan next term. McAllister is hoping that he can bring Nemeth to Leeds next season, along with reserve team-mate Ajdarevic, who has been told he has no future at Liverpool and can find a new club.
18-year-old Sweden youth international winger Ajdarevic is likely to join McAllister at Thorp Arch for pre-season training, whereas Nemeth may feel he can edge into the first-team at Anfield.
