Staff System Changes
Today, we are pleased to announce an overhaul of the BuzzerBeater staff system. The doctor, trainer, and PR manager of each team has been replaced with a new, unique, staff member. Each new staff member has approximately the same ability level and salary his predecessor, but the number indicating his skill level has been cut in half. In other words, a level 5 doctor today is roughly equivalent to a level 9 or 10 doctor in the old system. In addition, there will be an extremely limited number of level 6 and 7 staff, whose skills are unprecedented in BuzzerBeater.
Staff skills will no longer diminish with time; instead their salary demands will steadily rise each week. Staff members are now hired though an auction system similar to players. It is only possible for a team to have one doctor, one trainer, and on PR manager, and the hiring of new staff automatically results in the firing of his predecessor. All of the details of the new system can be found in the Staff section of the Rules.
Oh, and one more thing: A small proportion of new staff members have special abilities. For example, some doctors are able tape-up injured players so that they can return to the court during a game. Be sure to read about all of the new specialties in the Staff section of the Rules.
We have been trying to do this overhaul for a long time, and we would like to thank everybody who helped us make the system better, especially the Federation dedicated to the staff system. Thank you for helping us to continue to improve the game. We look forward to more of your great ideas. |
