Toure quells transfer speculation  

Ivory Coast midfielder Yaya Toure has dampened persistent rumours linking him with a move away from Barcelona, saying he is happy at the club.

The 25-year-old has been the subject of repeated media speculation, suggesting that he would leave the Spanish league leaders in the January transfer window.

"I'm very happy here and the club is playing well," Toure said.

"Everything's working well and the coach knows the strengths of each individual player."

Reports had linked him with a move to Italy, Britain or another Spanish club.

Premier League challengers Arsenal - where his brother Kolo plays - were said to be among the potential suitors but the Ivorian insists he is satisfied where he is.

"I like it a lot being here, a big club like Barca.

"I think we'll win some kind of title this season because we are playing together as a team and concentrating hard to win matches," Toure told Spanish sports daily AS.

Diarra out for up to six months  

Mali's Mahamadou Diarra could be sidelined for up to six months, after learning he may need knee surgery.

The 27-year-old Real Madrid midfielder underwent an X-ray on Tuesday which confirmed his knee injury had relapsed, Spanish sports daily Marca reported.

He will undergo an examination on his right knee next week to determine the seriousness of the problem.

Diarra has been plagued by injury this season and his prolonged absence only adds to Real's long casualty list.

He could also miss the opening matches of Mali's final round of qualifiers for the World Cup and Africa Cup of Nations, which begin in March.

Hildebrand Released From Valencia
Valencia goalkeeper Timo Hildebrand has been released from his contract at the Spanish side after months of inactivity...

Timo Hildebrand has suffered a nightmare spell at Valencia lately but his misery looks to have come to an end as his contract has been terminated by mutual consent.

The German joined Valencia from Stuttgart in 2007 and was seen as a long-term replacement for Santiago Cañizares. However, he has been out of favour with new coach Unai Emery and has not even managed to get into the squad on most occasions.

This has resulted in much unrest for the player and AS confirms that he has parted ways with the club this morning.

When he joined on a free he signed a contract until June 30, 2010, and at the beginning he found some good playing time under Ronald Koeman.

However, with Renan now very much the first choice 'keeper and Hildebrand being left in the cold, he will leave Los Che hoping for a brighter career elsewhere.

上年表現差麻

今年又無正選 ,印象中好似發過悔氣講話唔用佢就連18人名單都唔好選入去之類既野 ,根手就連後備都無埋
咁球隊見咁影響士氣 ,咪同佢分手囉 ,其實都講分手講左一兩過星期
