Knight Departs

Zat Knight has joined Bolton Wanderers for an undisclosed fee.

The central defender will now link up with the Trotters on their pre-season tour.

Knight made 54 appearances for Villa in all competitions and scored two goals. Both were memorable - on his debut against Chelsea in August 2007's 2-0 win and a late equaliser against Arsenal in December 2008 - both at Villa Park.

Vladimir Weiss - Next Slovakian Wonderkid.


eople know about Marek Hamsik and how great his potential was at such a young age and now how he is a Napoli regular with a rating of 90 on SM. Now there is another Wonderkid to come out of Slovakia; Vladimir Weiss.

Although he may have been mentioned before on some SM Forum Threads, he is yet to have his own thread about him.

Vladimir Weiss

Age: 19
Position: Winger




Info: Weiss is a Man City youngster who has lifted the FA Youth Cup with Man City Reserves. He is one in a line of Man City Youngsters hoping to make it Big Time. He is a fast winger who plays like Ronaldo and is regarded as a Hot prospect for the future.

Future: He is yet to play for senior squad at Eastlands and will need to break into the first team before added to the Database. I predict he will get into the starting XI in 1-2 years. Although you may think that he has no hope due to the money being invested in the team including Robinho, The Daily Telegraph recently said "...viewed as the next big thing to roll off the Eastlands production line, a twinkle-toed winger whose ability is regarded as too great to be suffocated by the billions at Mark Hughes's disposal. "

International: His Dad is in currently in charge of Slovakia although Weiss is unlikely to get any special treatment he will need to work for his caps. If he wants to play in South Africa next year he will need to start to play for Man City in the next 12 Months before the World Cup.

Liverpool defender Alvaro Arbeloa could make a £4.5million return to Real Madrid in the next few days, according to the player's agent.

The Spaniard was linked with a switch to the Bernabeu earlier in the summer but rumours had died down.

However, Arbeloa's representative, Manuel Garcia Quilon, remains in discussions with the Primera Liga giants and expects a conclusion by the start of next week.

Quilon told The Sun: "Discussions with Real are not over and I expect a solution early next week."
