Franck Ribery has stated that he is not close to Bayern Munich coach Louis van Gaal.
The French international described the relationship as quite cold with "not much feeling at all."
The revelation will continue to fuel speculation of a move to Real Madrid, with a deal allegedly in place to take the winger to the Bernabeu next summer.
Ribery has also been linked with both Chelsea and Manchester United, but it is believed he would prefer a move to join international colleague Karim Benzema at Los Merengues.
Ribery told France Football, "It's the first time that I haven't really felt close to a coach. There's not much feeling between us at all.
"Our relationship is professional. It was totally different with Ottmar Hitzfeld, for example.
"He was a real joy to work with and the best coach I've known at Bayern."
However, Ribery's displeasure with his current boss was hardly evident as Bayern destroyed rivals VfL Wolfsburg 3-0 at the weekend.
The 26 year-old winger was in fine form as a second-half substitute - he contributed to both of his new team-mate Arjen Robben's debut goals.
