Juventus are ready to sacrifice young play maker Sebastian Giovinco for Lazio defender Aleksandar Kolarov during the January transfer window.
Tuttosport reports the Bianconeri are keen on the Serbian left-back and would be willing to negotiate with the Aquile for a swap deal. The move would involve Juventus giving Lazio a co-ownership of Giovinco plus the full rights to Cristian Molinaro in return for Kolarov on a permanent deal.
There would be no cash changing hands as part of the move as both clubs look to retrench. Furthermore, Davide Ballardini is a big admirer of Giovinco and is eager to land the young attacker. On Wednesday the coach warned his club that reinforcements are needed in January for the side to start making their way back up the Serie A table after a difficult start.
It's no secret Ciro Ferrara is looking for a defender. Additions are expected in the team with Mauro Camoranesi having been ruled out for at least three months. Mohammed Sissoko is also expected to be missing for three weeks due to his participation in the African Cup of Nations.
