Chelsea and Man United battle for 'the new Florent Malouda'

Reports in the French press this morning claim Chelsea and Manchester United are battling three French clubs for the signature of Rennes winger Sylvain Marveaux.

French newspaper L’Equipe report that Paris Saint Germain, Marseille and Lyon are all keen on snapping up the man already being dubbed 'the new Florent Malouda'.

The 23-year-old has been in marvelous form this season scoring eight goals and providing five assists in 31 appearances.'

Arsène Wenger has confirmed that Arsenal will sign a new player by the time the World Cup starts.

With just two games to go in the Premier League season, transfer rumours are already filling the back pages. As you would expect the Frenchman refused to name any targets but he did reveal he would “certainly” bring in a new face before the tournament begins in South Africa on June 11.

“We have a basic squad and I believe in the squad I have,” he said. “But if I can make an addition – two or three maximum – then we will do it.

“I will try to do what I want to do as quickly as possible but I am not the only decider. It doesn’t only depend on me.

“Ideally, you would want to do the job before the World Cup. It is difficult to give yourself the right timing.

“Certainly, we will announce one player before the World Cup. After that we will see.”

United warned off Subotic
Dortmund rule out selling star defender

Borussia Dortmund have warned Manchester United off making a move for highly-rated defender Neven Subotic.

Reports emanating from Germany claim the Red Devils have joined the long list of clubs tracking the Serbia international.

Subotic's future has been the subject of conjecture for some time, with the former Mainz man regarded as one of the best young defenders in world football.

Dortmund are keen to keep hold of the 21-year-old and club executive director Hans-Joachim Watzke insist they have no plans to sell him.

"Selling Neven Subotic is a non-issue," Joachim Watzke told Bild.

"If Manchester United is wanting to have him, they would need to sign over a property of two oil-fields to us.

"Or at least two big trucks full of packaged pound notes.

"We have no intention to sell the player, he is under contract."

Subotic claims he is not thinking about a move away from Dortmund, insisting he is happy at the club.

"It is no secret I am enjoying being a player of Borussia Dortmund," said Subotic.

"I feel bloody good being a part of the squad and have the big ambition to be sucessful with the club in Europe, too.

"Therefore I am actually not thinking about a transfer away from Borussia Dortmund."

Aguero...... 如果以名氣來說40M 好係合理的價錢, 但今年Aguero 的表現的確下降不少

不過Anelka 跌watt 跌得好快, 車仔算係快手d 搶定一個星級replacement

其實在雲佩斯適應中鋒位、中堅賓成長的情況下，真的需要支點型，射門能力普通的查馬克…

更迫切的龍門、中堅及防中呢？

此外，心不在廠的沙皇是不是應該襯有價有市是放手？

Mancini tells Tevez to leave if he is unhappy

Roberto Mancini has told Carlos Tevez he should leave Manchester City for the sake of the club if he still isn't happy with the Italian's training regime.

Tevez spoke out earlier this month against Mancini's decision to run double training sessions on Tuesdays on weeks the club doesn't have a midweek match.

Mancini held his tongue at the time, but the Italian has now told Tevez he would rather see his top scorer move on than have an unhappy player disrupting his reign at the club. The British press reported Mancini held a one on one meeting with Tevez in which he made his position clear, and now he has made his views public for all his players to see.

"For Tevez, for all players, if he is not happy to stay here it's better he goes to another team," Mancini said. "It's better for Tevez, for (Emmanuel) Adebayor, for me, for all.

"It's important that when a manager and players work in a team that they must be happy. It's not good for the club, for the squad, for the player, if he is not. Tevez has four years left on his contract. But I don't know. If he's not happy, it's better to change squads.''

According to Mancini, Tevez wasn't even present for three of the four double sessions due to his return to Argentina for personal reasons and an injury that stopped him training. Tevez had claimed the players shouldn't worked so hard at the end of a long Premier League season.

"I don't know if Carlos Tevez is unhappy," Mancini added. "He must be content, though, because we have to play three important games. For the players it is a crucial moment. They must put everything they have on the pitch.''

Tevez joined City from local rivals Manchester United last summer and has scored 28 goals for the Blues so far this season.

Andrey Arshavin has re-iterated that he is happy and grateful to be at Arsenal.

This week the Russian international was reported to have remarked that a move to Barcelona would be "the pinnacle of his career". A statement that naturally led to speculation of a summer move.

At his press conference on Thursday, Arsène Wenger remained sceptical about the validity of the quotes. Speaking in Russian newspaper Sport Express on Friday, Arshavin corrected his position and revealed he was used to all the rumours.

"I respect the club and I am happy that I am a part of it," he said. " I am very grateful to the Arsenal fans, who love me.

"I am often translated wrongly. If I talk to the English press, there is no problem but when I say something in Russia, some special news agency takes it, translates it and sells these quotes.

"During the process of interpretation they translate my words as they see fit.  I find this unpleasant because people might think I said something that, in fact, I never said."
