"Then he got frustrated - saying 'how can you speak to me, I'm the manager'. I said 'yes, I know, but I don't know what you want me to do on the football pitch for 15 seconds. So respect me for that'. I think that from that day everything went bad, and he was not speaking to me any more."

If you want someone respects you, please respect your job.
The club pay you such a big amount of money to get your service, you should give 100% effort on the pitch for your club, no matter it is the 1st min or the 90th min.
Listen, you are not a 16 year old boy, who is arguing the playing time with your teammate in amateur match which is just for fun!
