Marseille president Vincent Labrune says his club will try to take France Under-20 striker Florian Thauvin from Lille. His club have previously declared him as 'untransferable.' Whilst SportsDirect News reports that Arsenal and Manchester City are ready for a battle to sign him as the 'New Nasri.' Thauvin says he's not aware of tug-of-war for him.
Roma's talented young defender Marquinhos hasn't traveled with the squad for their pre-season tour. Expect him to sign for either Paris Saint-Germain or Barcelona very soon. If he chooses PSG, we're sure to see Thiago Silva move to Barca. A lot of movement to come.
Lille manager Rene Girard says he'll talk to Lucas Digne and Florian Thauvin when they come to Lille after the U20 World Cup. Marseille will "see what Thauvin says" when he comes back from the World Cup, as they look to sign the young striker. Thauvin only signed for Lille in January before returning to his old club Bastia on loan for the remainder of last season. He could leave Lille without appearing for the club in a competitive match.
Lyon's president Jean-Michel Aulas says the club know what they're doing over Bafetimbi Gomis, that Yohann Gourcuff could leave too; and he's not jealous of Paris Saint-Germain and all their money.
St. Etienne manager Christophe Galtier says the club aren't putting pressure on Wahbi Khazri, who is trying to leave Bastia. He also states that he wants to keep Brandao at the club and insists Stephane Ruffier won't join Roma.
Uruguay defender Diego Lugano expects to return to PSG following his loan spell at Malaga last season, but does not intend to see out the summer. He told Urogol, 'I will return to PSG and do the pre-season with the intention of leaving.'
Clement Chantome is the man Marseille are said to have signed. Coach Elie Baup confirmed the club had signed another midfielder in the wake of a 3-0 pre-season defeat to Porto, with rumours suggesting it is the PSG man.
Apparently Toulouse want to resign Adrien Rabiot on loan from PSG but Marseille have expressed an interest as well. The 19-year-old is a favourite in new coach Laurent Blanc's eyes though and any deal could be thwarted by him.
