Noticing a distinct pattern emerging in Manchester United's summer dealings, Reddit user GrabbingTheBrassRing decided to leaf through Nostradamus' historical tome "The Prophecies" for answers.

He was duly rendered agog (with tongue firmly entrenched in cheek) after being astonished to discover that almost all of the club's main transfer ins and outs had been predicted some 460 years ago. Well, sort of anyway.

First up was Memphis Depay's £25 million acquisition, which Nostradamus indisputably foresaw in the following Prophecies passage:

"The old roads will all be improved. One will proceed on them to the modern Memphis: The great Mercury of Hercules fleur-de-lis, causing to tremble lands, sea and country."

Yes, it's just the word "Memphis," but still ... then we have:

Bastian Schweinsteiger: "After there will come from the outermost countries. A German prince, upon the golden throne."

Robin van Persie: "Once the treacherous deed of Robin shall cause Lords and a Great Prince much trouble."

David De Gea: "The feather in the wind, female friend to Spain. The messenger trapped while in the country and the scribe shall throw himself into the waters."

Sergio Romero and Anthony Martial: "His army to enter the greatest depth. Genoa and Monaco will drive back the red fleet."

Morgan Schneiderlin: "The cardinal of France will arrive."

Matteo Darmian's arrival from Torino and Rafael's departure to Ligue 1: "In Turin the first ones will be burned, when Lyons will be transported with grief."

Spot on. Undeniable. Of course, you have the right to remain sceptical despite being presented with such empirical evidence, but you really can't argue with scientific proof of this magnitude.

We're now completely convinced that Nostradamus saw Anthony Martial's £36 million move to Old Trafford coming several centuries ago, even if Anthony Martial himself didn't.

【now.com體育】阿仙奴球迷網上號召球迷上街示威要求雲加下台，結果竟然被放飛機。

很多人都說網民是鍵盤戰士，往往打字凶狠做就無能，阿仙奴球迷Gideon Moss就有親身體會。話說，他日前在twitter號召球迷們，在周三晚7點在酋長球場外面集合，並舉行遊行要求領隊雲加（Arsene Wenger）下台，抗議他在夏季轉會市場過於保守。

有關號召引起英國各大傳媒注意，結果集合時間到了卻沒有人出席，剩下一個空蕩蕩的街頭，認真尷尬。

其實，從Gideon Moss帖文的反應已經十分冷淡，Arsenal Fan App留言道：「晚上？（驚訝）」網友問其中一個網名Ollie會不會出席，他說：「不會，我還不知道想不想雲加滾蛋，但我會把遊行的訊息擴散出去。」雲加上季帶領球隊連續兩季奪得英足盃冠軍，加上今夏引入捷克門神施治，相信令很多球迷對他的表現改觀。
