Spanish news agency EFE have confirmed that Real Madrid and Sevilla have reached a deal regarding the sale of defender Sergio Ramos.

It appears there are just minor details to resolve before Ramos can pen the deal.

Real Madrid are expected to dish out 25 million Euros for Ramos’ services.

Ramos, 19, already made his debut with the Spanish national team earlier this year.

If the deal ends up going through, Ramos will become Florentino Perez’s first ever Spanish signing.

Mallorca beat the transfer deadline to complete two late deals with Cristiano Doni and Yordi joining the club.

Having already landed Greek striker Lampros Choutos earlier on Wednesday, The Islanders worked tirelessly to bolster their attacking options further and succeeded in pushing through two late transfers.

Doni, an attacking midfielder, has joined from Serie A outfit Sampdoria although it is not yet known whether it is a permanent or loan deal.

The 32-year-old playmaker has endured a disappointing time since joining Samp from Atalanta in the summer of 2003 and will be hoping the switch to Spain will revitalise his career.

He will be officially unveiled by Mallorca at a press conference at midday on Thursday.

Also making the move to Son Moix is experienced striker Yordi who joins on a free transfer after annulling his contract with Getafe.

The 30-year-old had a spell on loan at Blackburn a couple of seasons ago and is the kind of powerful target-man that Mallorca boss Hector Cuper has been chasing all summer.

Cuper had seen moves for Frode Johnsen and Angelos Charisteas fail and will be delighted to have finally added more firepower to his squad.

With the incorporations of Doni and Yordi, The Islanders have now made a total of 11 signings this summer.

Celta Vigo have wrapped up the signing of Argentine defender Matias Lequi.

The Galicians have secured the 24-year-old on a season-long loan deal but are hoping to try and thrash out a permanent transfer.

Lequi knows the Spanish game well having spent the 2003-04 campaign at Atletico Madrid where he impressed greatly.

A move to Lazio followed, but he failed to settle in Serie A and made just four appearances for the Roman club last term.

Celta are delighted to have secured his services and will now look to sign him permanently.

"We have an agreement with Lazio for the loan but we still have to negotiate a permanent deal, if we can do that tomorrow (Thursday), good, if not we have him for the rest of the year," Celta president Horacio Gomez stated.

Sevilla have been granted an extra month by the Spanish Football League
(LFP - Liga de Futbol Profesional) to sign a new player following Sergio
Ramos' move to Real Madrid.

Real managed to beat Wednesday's transfer deadline by just a few minutes and
prise the talented defender from Sevilla by agreeing to match his buy-out
clause - ￡18 million.

Although Sevilla managed to bring in Serbo-Montenegrin international
defender Ivica Dragutinovic to compensate for the loss of their prized young
star, an appeal to the LFP has now been successful.

As the club were forced into the sale by Real's decision to pay his release
fee, it has been decided they should be given extra time to find a
replacement.

The Estadio Sanchez Pizjuan outfit will now have until September 30 to bring
in another player if they choose to, although the only stipulation is that
it must be a player who is already plying his trade in the Spanish League.

Meanwhile, it has been revealed that Ramos will be handed the number four
shirt at Real - the jersey worn by Fernando Hierro before his exit from the
club two summers ago.
