Getafe get Schuster
      Monday, 20 June 2005
      Bernd Schuster has been appointed coach of Spanish club Getafe CF,
seven weeks after he was sacked by rivals Levante UD.

      Staying up
      Levante were subsequently relegated on the last day of the season,
whereas Getafe achieved the security of 13th place in what was their debut
campaign in the Primera Division. Schuster, 45, has signed a one-year
contract with the Madrid-based team, filling the vacancy left by Quique
Sanchez Flores's departure for Valencia CF.

      Well travelled
      A former German international and FC Barcelona and Real Madrid CF
midfield player, Schuster was previously in charge of Xerex CD in Spain's
lower leagues as well as SC Fortuna Koln, 1. FC Koln and FC Shakhtar
Donetsk.
