Krohn-Dehli returns to Danish fold

RKC Waalwijk winger Michael Krohn-Dehli has earned a recall to Denmark's squad for the forthcoming UEFA European Under-21 Championship play-off against Russia.
Knee woe
Krohn Dehli has not played for Denmark since a 1-0 defeat by Ukraine in March after being sidelined with a knee injury. AJ Auxerre midfield player Thomas Kahlenberg and Aalborg BK's Rasmus Würtz also return to the squad having recently been called up to the senior side but coach Flemming Serritslev will be forced to do without four defenders for the two-legged affair.
Defensive problems
Daniel Agger, Nicolaj Høgh and Martin Jensen are all injured, while Dennis Cagara is suspended, though Serritslev remains confident. "I think we have a very strong and versatile squad in spite of being without four defenders," he said. "I have seen Russia's latest matches, and I consider them a team, but we have a very good chance to beat them. Their basic strengths are a sturdy defence and a good goalkeeper - but we have scored in all our qualification matches."
