Arsenal to offer Campbell for Newcastle's Jenas

Arsenal are ready to offer Sol Campbell in part-exchange for Newcastle United midfielder Jermaine Jenas.
The Gunners see Newcastle midfielder Jenas, 22, as the perfect replacement for skipper Patrick Vieira, who yesterday joined Juventus for 13.7million.

And Toon boss Graeme Souness indicated he might be interested in doing business if Campbell became available.

Souey said: "Sol has been outstanding for Arsenal and the rock they have built their defence on.

"The downside for us would be the money he earns - but he is a top defender."

Souness added: "When Arsenal go to find a replacement for Vieira it will be an expensive player to buy.

"If we were to sell Jermaine, it would have to be for a lot more money than Vieira cost.

"Jermaine has the potential to be one of the world's best midfielders. He maybe doesn't have Patrick's aggression but he certainly has the athleticism and technically he is good.

"It would take a lot more than 12m to sign him."

Newcastle are desperate to bring in a centre-half after Titus Bramble a broke his elbow in pre-season training.

Vieira+Campbell=JJ ?

我覺得唔會放金寶。
因為剛剛走左中場大將偉拉，如果再放金寶，係防守同士氣上影響好大。
雖然辛達路斯係打得幾好，始終金寶穩定o的，
同埋金寶狀態都未至大跌，應該唔會放住。
除非買到好野頂佢啦。宜家買人方面進展都唔係咁好。
