Southampton striker Peter Crouch is now on the wanted list of Middlesbrough and Charlton Athletic, as well as Liverpool, West Ham United and Manchester City.
Liverpool have already had two bids for the 24-year-old England forward – of £6 million and £6.5 million – rejected by Saints, whose manager Harry Redknapp values Crouch at £8 million.
"Peter has been as good as gold. He is training hard and not letting things affect him," said Redknapp.
"Obviously, I want to keep him but it is not my decision, it will be a boardroom decision in the end."
The 6ft 7in striker scored 16 goals for the Saints last season after arriving from Aston Villa for £2 million.
Crouch has expressed interest in moving to Anfield, and Redknapp admits that Saints would be tempted to cash in if the price was right.
Liverpool are still believed to be first in the queue for Crouch, especially as Czech striker Milan Baros looks likely to be sold. |
