More discipline fears for Rovers
Blackburn could be in more disciplinary trouble with the Football Association after angry scenes during their 0-0 draw with Tottenham on Wednesday.
Earlier this month they were fined for last season's poor disciplinary record, which saw five players sent off.
Against Tottenham, Lucas Neill earned their second red card of the new season for a challenge on Edgar Davids.
Cameras also caught an off-the-ball incident involving Andy Todd and Andy Reid which was missed by the referee.
After the game, Tottenham boss Martin Jol was particularly angry over the incident involving Todd and Reid.
"Blackburn were very aggressive - the evidence is Andy Reid has a big lump on his forehead," he said.
"But it is difficult to talk about another team because that is the responsibility of the other manager."
Rovers boss Mark Hughes claimed he had not seen the incident.
"I've got players with lumps as well but I am not going to stand here and defend something I can't really pass comment on till I have seen the pictures," he said.
But he refused to make excuses for Neill's behaviour.
"Lucas made a genuine attempt to get the ball but the momentum took him through the player and the guy ended up in a heap on the floor," he said.
"If you have had one yellow you are likely to get another." |
