Koke ‘rejects’ Juventus move
Sergio Koke’s move to Juventus has fallen through, after the player reportedly refused to go on loan to Siena yesterday.
The Spaniard was in Turin on Tuesday to agree terms and seemed poised to sign for the Bianconeri only for talks to falter over the striker’s reluctance to spend six months on loan to Siena first.
It seems that Koke had been expecting to wear the black and white of Juventus rather than that of Siena straight away and, concerned that he was leaving the Stade Vlodrome for the less glamorous Stadio Artemio Franchi, refused to sign.
Reports in France, however, have it that Marseille persuaded the player to turn down the Italian giants as they didn’t receive their asking fee for the 22-year-old.
