England set Manchester dates

The Football Association has confirmed that England's two home UEFA EURO 2008™ qualifiers scheduled for this year will take place at Old Trafford as the new Wembley Stadium will not be ready to host any football matches in 2006.


Israel up first
It was thought that Andorra would be England's first competitive opponents at the national stadium, but it seems that honour will now go to Israel when they travel to Wembley for a Group E match on 8 September 2007. The Andorra game will now take place at the home of Manchester United FC on 2 September, with F.Y.R Macedonia also booked in for a trip to the north of England on 7 October.
