Stefano Fiore has been left devastated by the news that Fiorentina have declined to make Valencia a bid for his services.
Fiore was hoping to seal a permanent switch to Florence after impressing for the Viola during his season long loan spell.
But the Tuscan outfit have amazingly decided to not make the Spanish side an offer, even though they had lowered their asking price.
“Fiore will no longer be a Gigliato,” agent Federico Pastorello conceded. “Unfortunately his efforts over the last season haven’t been enough.
“Valencia were ready to do a deal so that he could stay. But Fiorentina only wanted to renew his loan, nothing more.
“Fiore is disappointed, he expected to be treated differently.”
Valencia turned down the Italian club’s request to keep the midfielder on loan and it now seems that the Stadio Artemio Franchi outfit are ready to wave goodbye to the star.
“I know that Valencia gave Fiorentina the option to sign me, but they didn’t offer a penny,” stated the former Lazio player. |
