Gareth Southgate today turned his attentions back to Robert Huth after wrapping up the signing of Julio Arca.

The Boro boss is keen to bring in another new face quickly, and negotiations are already advanced with Chelsea to complete a loan deal for the German defender. Chief executive Keith Lamb has been leading the negotiations and expects to complete the agreement in the near future.

Huth is currently recovering from an ankle operation and will not be fit until the middle of September.
