Bullard's afternoon ended in the worst possible fashion 35 minutes in, as he was forced to leave the pitch on a stretcher having picked up what looked a very serious injury.
The midfielder was involved in a completely accidental collision with Parker and his right knee appeared to buckle under the pressure.
Parker was visibly distressed, as were a number of players, and Bullard was taken off to a warm round of applause following lengthy treatment |
