15826 fans braved the pouring rain at Fishball stadium. FR4 started off with a 4-5-1 lineup. They fielded: Zetterstad - Colmenares, Larsson, Hielkema, Petrić - Jer Yaw, Chun Leung, Jiin shuh, Pont, Tuckey - Man Fung.
Skyscraper tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination. The following players took the field: Tomagola - Wei Fu, Chun Sing, Yu Mei, Halmevaara - Phuong, Yu Fu, Gong Liang, Espersen - You De, Lewenbauer.
FR4 saw most attack opportunites on the wings. Skyscraper were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks. In the 10th minute, David Tuckey came in on the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to put away the 1 - 0 goal, giving FR4 the lead. The home side's Ng Jer Yaw twisted a free kick home in the 17th minute, putting FR4 ahead 2 - 0. After this, FR4 lowered the tempo in order to concentrate on their defensive efforts. The referee showed Skyscraper's Kuang Wei Fu the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Andre Espersen slipped and slithered in the wet grass. His usual rapid runs were nowhere to be seen today. An indirect free kick in the visitors' penalty area in the 33rd minute could have resulted in another goal, but Junior Tomagola got a hand out and tipped the ball over the bar. In the game's 35th minute, FR4's Danijel Petrić fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee booked Danijel Petrić for diving. The visitors got one back when Linh Phuong finished off a pass from the left and scored in the 38th minute. 2 - 1 was the score. It was 2 - 1 at the break. FR4 held the ball, with a clear 78 percent of possession.
In the game's 53rd minute, Skyscraper's Emil Halmevaara fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee booked Emil Halmevaara for diving. 66 minutes into the game Sun Man Fung could see that the opposing goaltender was out of position and tried an unexpected lob that the keeper just barely reached. The rebound went to Ng Jer Yaw who failed to hit the target. FR4 added another goal to their lead as Robin Hielkema struck home the 3 - 1 goal after an attack from the left set him up unmarked in front of the keeper. FR4, bringing their ball possession to 86 percent, dominated the battle.
The most dominating FR4 player was without a doubt Daniel Zetterstad. Deng Jiin shuh turned in a dismal performance, however. The most dominating Skyscraper player was without a doubt Cai You De. Linh Phuong on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 3 - 1. |
