Sir Alex Ferguson remained positive following Manchester United's game at Arsenal, despite having watched his side fall to a 2-1 defeat in losing two late goals.

United looked to be closing on a three-point haul that would have taken them nine points clear at the Premiership summit when in the 84th minute, Arsenal substitute Robin Van Persie cancelled out Wayne Rooney's second half opener.

With the game in injury time at Emirates Stadium, United's collective woes were compounded when Thierry Henry beat Edwin van der Sar with a rare and brilliant headed goal.

Ferguson is confident his charges can learn from the most bitter of experiences, of the opinion that similar lapses in concentration will be avoided between now and the campaign's close.

"When I look at it we have some important away games to come and this will be good for us - we won't be making the same mistake," he told Sky Sports 1.

"We lost two goals from a position I didn't thing we would.

"At this moment in time we are so disappointed.

"We have a game less (to play) and are a goal better off (than Chelsea following their 2-0 defeat at Liverpool yesterday). So it's not all doom and gloom."

Ferguson drew further consolation from the performance of Michael Carrick, who he felt was the best player on the pitch by some distance.

"I thought we had the best player on the pitch in Michael Carrick," he concluded. "He was magnificent."

阿仙奴頭80分鐘都係保持住有限度既壓力....史高斯冇態, 傑斯今場越打越差之下, C7只係曼聯反擊既一件武器...防守力就認真麻麻
卡域克都叫頂得住, 阿仙奴好多高波吊入去禁區頂都被里奧同維迪清走, 但最後阿仙奴右路兩個攻勢收死曼聯, 里奧2-1 一球企位就差左D啦....
換出前線控球傳球能及牽制性極高既軒歷拿臣, 換入個有波進攻, 冇波就企既沙夏, 令阿仙奴後防線可以谷得更上
軒斯換入c7 更係今場一大敗筆, 反擊冇C7 係邊線怒跑, 你反擊靠沙夏嗎?! C7換走之後雖然曼聯多左一個"防守球員",  但阿仙奴又可以多派一兩個球員投入進攻
伊保爾今場波助攻較少, C7及拿臣在場時候你幾可見到伊保爾咁從容從後上場助攻?!
我唔知點解今場波後備席會冇朴智星, 搞到今場擺到明傑斯冇態都要佢強戰90分鐘...
