A counterattack by Giroro in the 24:th minute could have resulted in a goal, but Lu Bainan, coming in on the left, lost his wits and couldn't get the shot off. A great pass from the defensive line of Giroro landed close to Mu Chengfan in the enemy's central penalty box, but his finish went high. A savvy corner kick from Shao Kangyan reached Dong Chengxing, who is making a name for himself with his fine headers. The co-operation led to a goal for Giroro, making the tally 0-1. Giroro showed tactical thinking beyond their years in the 37:th minute, as they caught their opponents with a counterattack down the right wing. The ball finally bounced off Lu Bainan into the net for the 0 - 2 goal. In the game's 39:th minute, Giroro's Shi Chongmin fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was not impressed by the young lad's acting skills and booked him for diving. Lacking experience with the current tactics, the players of ZYX kept running into each other on the pitch. They only managed a inadequate level of organization. The referee confirmed the score as 0 - 2 when he signalled for the halftime break. ZYX, bringing their ball possession to 71 percent, seemed most ambitious today.
The ZYX players spent the halftime break at the feet of their coach, contemplating what mistakes they made in the first half. It helped them reach solid organization when the match kicked off again. Wang Guoxuan's inexperience shone through as he let Liu Junmin roam free and, unattacked, power in 0-3 for Giroro. After this, Giroro lowered the tempo and seemed to lose some interest in going forward. Highlights
