TEVEZ SAGA DRAWS NEARER TO END
The Carlos Tevez saga could be a step closer to an end after claims that Kia Joorabchian will buy the player's registration from West Ham.
Reports in Monday morning's tabloids suggest that Tevez's long-mooted move to Manchester United could finally go through if Joorabchian pays a fee to the Hammers, allowing him to deal solely with United and placate the Premier League.
However, the tabs differ slightly as to what that fee will actually be, with the Star claiming that Joorabchian will pay a token amount of only £100,000, acting on the assumption that any court case will be hugely embarrassing for the Premier League and West Ham.
However, the Sun claims that the minimum that both West Ham and the Premier League will accept is £6 million, while the Mirror claims that the figure will be £5.5 million.
Indeed, the Premier League have reportedly told West Ham that £5.5 million is the absolute minimum fee that they can release the Argentinian striker for, otherwise they will face disciplinary charges.
Joorabchian's MSI group, who claim they own Tevez, served a writ on the Hammers last week to release the player's registration, and are totally confident that any court ruling will go their way. |
