If Saturday afternoon's qualifying results from Africa areanything to go by, it will be some time before the continentalstatus quo starts changing.
South Africa and Morocco were the day's big winners,notching up four goals apiece against Equatorial Guniea andMauritania respectively, while three other members of the localelite, Mali, Nigeria and Tunisia, all picked up satisfying wins onthe road.

中國主場落敗卡塔爾晉級世界盃渺茫

（天津）剛剛在中國天津結束的2010年世界盃亞洲區預選賽第一小組第四輪的比賽中，主場作戰的中國被卡塔爾1比0擊敗，晉級世界盃的希望逐漸遠去。

中國隊曾經在上半場第10分鐘的右路進攻中差一點率先攻破卡塔爾城池，鄭智帶球底線橫傳到門前，插上的朱挺在小禁區角上跳起腳後跟射門，但很可惜球打在了立柱上彈出。

本場比賽的唯一一粒入球來自上半場第12分鐘，當時卡塔爾球員尤瑟夫右路突破時造成中國球員李瑋峰犯規，卡塔爾隊將獲得的任意球發到禁區時，郜林在禁區內拉人犯規，被主裁判處以極刑，塞巴斯蒂安主罰點球並推射右路命中，卡塔爾隊憑借此粒入球在客場成功阻擊中國，向2010年世界盃再進一步。

雖然中國在隨後比賽階段階段完全有時間彌補自己的劣勢，但中國隊在全線壓上之際卻缺乏有效的組織，進攻無法真正威脅卡塔爾城池，只能無奈接受0比1失利苦果，小組出線希望十分渺茫。

下半場痛失點球阿曼主場惜平日本

（馬斯喀特）阿曼國家隊在週六下午舉行的2010年世界盃亞洲區預選賽下半場比賽中痛失一粒黃金點球，遺憾的在主場馬斯喀特1比1戰平來訪的日本，沒能夠在主場全取3分。

穆巴拉克在上半場11分鐘為阿曼首開紀錄，遠籐保仁在下半場53分鐘利用點球為日本扳平了比分。

名古屋八鯨俱樂部的守門員楢崎正剛在下半場58分鐘成為了日本國家隊的英雄，正是他的出色表現撲出了阿曼球員巴希爾的點球，成功確保了日本隊在客場取得1分，並且在積分榜上以7分繼續領先阿曼3分。

Côte d'Ivoire and Togo had away days to forget on Sunday asthe race for places at South Africa 2010 continued. While theElephants were being held to a 0-0 stalemate by unfanciedMadagascar, the Sparrowhawks were having their wings clipped inSwaziland.
Those ambushes aside, it was a day of few shocks in Africa, withCameroon cantering to a 3-0 win in Mauritius, Angola securing a 2-1victory in Niger, and Ghana doing just enough to see off Lesotho3-2 in Bloemfontein.

The 35,000 fans shoehorned into the Rufaro Stadium in Hararewere in expectant mood as this Group 2 clash between two seriousqualification contenders kicked off. The Warriors now stand topof the section with four points, one clear of Kenya, surprisevictors against Guinea on Saturday, and Namibia.

Kick-starting their qualification bid at the SomhloloNational Stadium in Mbabane, the Sihlangu served notice of their intentions with a fine 2-1win over the Germany 2006 finalists, a result that takes them tothe top of the pool, ahead of the Togolese on goal difference andwith a game in hand.

（吉隆坡）亞足聯訂於馬來西亞時間6月27日1700時在位於吉隆坡的亞足聯總部，舉行2010年南非世界盃亞洲區第4圈預選賽（10強賽）分組抽籤儀式。

來自第3圈預選賽5個小組的前2名、合共10隊，晉級10強賽。

10強賽分在兩組舉行，每組5隊。兩組前2名直接代表亞洲進軍南非，兩組的第3名進行主客報聘附加賽；勝方再和大洋洲區代表打另一場主客報聘附加賽，以決出最後一張世界盃門票。

10強賽訂於2008年9月6日開踢，2009年6月17日結束。第3名附加賽的兩回合賽期是2009年10月10日和14日；至於亞大附加賽，則訂於2009年11月14和21日上演。

在2006年上屆德國盃，亞洲的代表隊是澳大利亞、日本、韓國、伊朗和沙特阿拉伯，但5隊當中，僅澳大利亞一隊從小組出線。

世界盃32強決賽圈（2010年6月11日至7月11日）的抽籤分組儀式，訂於2009年12月在南非開普敦舉行。

2010年世界盃十強賽抽籤規則
（吉隆坡）亞足聯於今日公佈了即將於2008年6月27日（星期五）舉行的2010年南非世界盃亞洲區預選賽十強賽抽籤規則。

本次抽籤儀式將於當日馬來西亞吉隆坡當地時間下午5點舉行，屆時，從世界盃預選賽第三輪淘汰賽5個小組入圍的10支亞洲豪門將為2010年世界盃進行最後一輪的爭奪。

根據國際足聯2006年世界盃的排名，第四輪淘汰賽的5支種子隊為澳大利亞、韓國、伊朗、沙特、日本（並列第四名）。

如果這5支種子隊全部進入第四輪的淘汰賽，那麼將依照2008年3月25日亞足聯執委會通過的亞足聯競賽委員會提議，並列第四名的沙特和日本將以抽籤方式決定誰將會留在抽籤現場的第二檔次中。

另外，如果伊拉克成功入圍第四輪比賽，他們將被定在第五位，這樣可以避免伊拉克在世界盃預選賽6月17日的第10比賽日進行比賽的情況，讓其有機會參加2009年6月14-28日期間舉行的國際足聯聯合會杯。

一旦遭遇此情況，亞足聯將會在伊拉克入圍之後公佈具體抽籤規則。

一檔：排名第一位、第二位
二檔：排名第三位、第四位
三檔：排名第五位、第六位
四檔：排名第七位、第八位、第九位、第十位

第一步：球隊將會按其排位分成四檔，其排名將採用國際足聯批准的2006年世界盃排名順序。
（附加：一旦沙特與日本同時入圍，那麼將首先抽籤決定其排位，首先抽出的球隊將排名第四位，放入第二檔當中。）

第二步：首先抽出第四檔的球隊；抽出的第一個球隊將位列A5，第二個球隊將位列B5，第三個球隊將位列A4，第四個球隊將位列B4。

第三步：抽出第三檔球隊；率先抽出的球隊將位列A3，餘下的球隊將位列B3。

第四步：抽出第二檔球隊；率先抽出的球隊將位列A2，餘下的球隊將位列B2.

第五步：抽出第一檔球隊；率先抽出的球隊將位列A1，餘下的球隊將位列A1。

洪映早梅開二度朝鮮主場力克約旦

（平壤）朝鮮國家隊在週六下午平壤羊角島體育場舉行的2010年世界盃亞洲區預選賽第五回合的比賽中2比0力克約旦，提前一輪入圍十強賽。

朝鮮隊本場比賽的功臣為洪映早，正是他在上半場44分鐘和下半場72分鐘的入球成功幫助朝鮮在主場全取3分，讓其積分達到11分，從而提前一輪入圍世界盃亞洲區預選賽的最後十強賽。

約旦則僅有4分在手，已經沒有機會追平8分在手的第二名韓國隊，提前一輪出局，而韓國則將在同日稍後時間裡客場迎戰土庫曼斯坦。

日本三球大勝泰國提前晉級世界盃亞洲區十強賽

（曼谷）日本國家隊在週六下午剛剛結束的2010年世界盃亞洲區預選賽中客場3比0力克泰國，在全取3分之後提前一輪拿到了自己在亞洲區十強賽的入場券。

田中斗笠王和中澤佑二在上半場各為日本攻入一球，下半場替補出場的中村憲剛也為日本錦上添花，以強大的進攻力在客場拿下泰國，現以10分在手，與巴林同積10分。

巴林則將在稍後時間裡對陣阿曼，阿曼在第二小組中僅有4分在手，已經毫無出線希望，泰國的戰績更是糟糕，5戰僅積1分，排名墊底。

中國隊在上半場有周海濱率先破門，伊拉克在上半場結束之前由伊瑪德頭球扳平比分，雙方在上半場1比1戰成平局。表現出色的伊拉克國家隊在下半場由阿克拉姆再次低射破門，最終以1比2擊敗中國隊。

中國隊在5輪比賽過後以3分繼續在積分榜上處於墊底位置，小組出線徹底無望。伊拉克隊積分達到了7分，在多賽一輪的情況下追平了第一組前兩名卡塔爾和澳大利亞。

Congo DR level with Egypt

An easy 6-0 win over Djibouti on Friday put Congo DR alongside Egypt at the top of Group 12 in the second phase of the African Zone qualifiers for the 2010 FIFA World Cup™.

Under French coach Patrice Neveu, Congo DR have now racked up six points in three games and are favourites to qualify for the next stage, particularly after pushing Egypt close in their opening game in Cairo, where they narrowly lost 2-1. The return fixture is scheduled for 7 September in Kinshasa and promises to be a thrilling affair .

The Leopards wasted no time at the El-Hadj Hassan Gouled stadium in Djibouti, racing into a 3-0 lead at the break thanks to goals from Dieumerci Mbokani on 25 minutes, Shabani Nonda on 31 and Zola Matumona on 40.

The second half began as the first had finished with Mbokani on 48 minutes and Matumona on 49 bringing their personal haul to two apiece and putting the result beyond doubt. Tresor Mputu then rounded off the scoring in the 79th minute to make it 6-0.

Djibouti's results thus far in the campaign reflect thier status as the lowest ranked African team in the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking, with coach Mohamed Abar's men having lost all three matches and already conceded 18 goals.

Ethiopia get off the mark

On matchday three of Africa's second qualifying round for the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™, Ethiopia defeated Mauritania 1-0 yesterday in the battle of the bottom sides in Group 8.

The win gives the Walyas their first three points of the campaign, although they still have it all to do to catch joint leaders Morocco and Rwanda, who put their 100% record on the line when they go head-to-head on 14 June in Kigali.

The 40,000 crowd at the Olympic stadium in the Mauritanian capital Nouakchott witnessed a fiercely fought game between two sides desperate to get their first points on the board. In the end, however, a late lapse in concentration by the locals allowed Ethiopia to steal all three points with a Said Salahddine strike two minutes into added time.

Despite moving into third place in the group, the Walyas still have a negative goal difference of -3. However, it is marginally better than that of the hapless Mauritanians (-7), who remain rooted to the foot of the table with three defeats from three games.

Being cast in the role of group favourites proved the kiss ofdeath in several of Saturday's CAF Zone qualifiers for the 2010FIFA World Cup South Africa™. Egypt, Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, Morocco,Cameroon, Angola and Mali, many of whom featured at the CAF AfricaCup of Nations 2008, all dropped precious points on a day ofsurprises. FIFA World Cup hosts South Africa also suffered defeatin their quest to qualify for the next Africa Cup of Nations.

After going down to a Chiukepo Msowoya goal in stoppage time,Hassan Shehata's men now stand third behind Malawi's Flamesand DR Congo on goal difference. Burkina Faso's performancewas all the more impressive given that they found themselves 2-1down with just under an hour gone. Liberia came back from a two-goal deficit to hold Senegal to a 2-2 draw in Monrovia. Cheikh Gueyeand England-based El Hadji Diouf each scored early in the secondhalf to put the 2002 FIFA World Cup™ quarter-finalists ahead, butDioh Williams cut the lead in half in the 78th minute and OliverMakor equalised in the 88th minute.
The draw puts Senegal level with Gambia at the top of Group 6with five points, while Liberia are bottom with two points.
Nigeria took three points from their visit to Equatorial Guinea, needing only a 5th-minutestrike by Joseph Yobo to dispatch the hosts.
It was a third consecutive Group 4 win for Nigeria, who look setto run away with the top spot after taking maximum points fromthree matches without conceding a goal. Equatorial Guinea,meanwhile, are six points back in a three-way tie with South Africaand Sierra Leone.
Group 9 favourites Tunisia won their second consecutive match awayfrom home, 1-0 over Burundi. Radhi Jaidi, the 32-year-old veteran ofKorea/Japan 2002 and Germany 2006, scored the only goal in the 66thminute.

In the latest South Africa 2010 qualifier taking place in Africatoday, Dady's 43rd minute penalty earned Cape Verde Islands a 1-0 win over Mauritius.
On a day when Father's Day is celebrated in many countriesin the world, it was indeed apt that Dady should be thematchwinner. The 26-year-old kept his nerve from the penalty spotin the 43rd minute to secure a welcome victory for his side.
The result puts the Portuguese speaking nation just one pointbehind Group 1 leaders Cameroon, while Mauritius prop up thestandinds with just one point from their three games so far.
Meanwhile in Madagascar, Guy Mamihasindrahona's last-minuteequaliser cancelled out Dario's 33rd minute goal for Mozambique in Group 7.
Despite the late leveller, the home side will still see thismatch as two points dropped, as prior to the game the visitors hadnot secured a single point from their opening two fixtures.
Madagascar are now two points behind leaders Botswana and Côted'Ivoire.

Africa's challengers in the race for places at the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™ have spent the last few weeks busily jockeying for position in their respective groups. The fourth round of matches in the second qualification phase is already upon us and with round five not due to begin until September, the continent's contenders can look forward to a well-earned rest just as soon as they get this weekend's commitments out of the way.
The first two teams into action were Algeria and Gambia, who faced off at the Stade Mustapha-Tchaker in Blida on Friday evening, the hosts doing just enough to secure the points thanks to defender Anthar Yahia's goal on 33 minutes.
The 1-0 win helped the Fennecs move into first place in Group 6 on six points, one ahead of the Gambians and Senegal, who play Liberia in Dakar on Saturday.
In the day's only other game Libya set Tripoli alight when they put four past Lesotho without reply. Ben Osama Salen opened the scoring after four minutes, with further goals from Omar Dawood, Younes Al Shibani and Hesham Shaban completing the rout.
The commanding victory took the Libyans to the summit of Group 5 and put the pressure on Ghana, who now lie three points behind and face Gabon in a crucial encounter at the Ohene-Djan Stadium in Accra on Sunday.

Caledonians keep hopes alive(FIFA.com) Saturday 21 June 2008

New Caledonia kept their hopes of qualification for the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™ alive with a 3-0 win over Vanuatu in Noumea on Saturday.
The home side's task was made easier by the dismissal of Vanuatan defender Ken Masauvakalo in only the 12th minute of the game.
The Caledonians' midfield maestro Pierre Wajoka was the first to score after 36 minutes, and Michel Hmae added a second goal on the hour mark. Patrick Diaike completed the misery for Vanuatu in the 87th minute.
While Vanuatu are now definitely out of the running, New Caledonia have moved to within a point of group leaders New Zealand, who have a game in hand over the islanders. The home-and-away contest between these top two countries in September will decide the fate of the Oceania group.

No stopping Nigeria(FIFA.com) Saturday 21 June 2008

Nigeria's 2-0 defeat of Equatorial Guinea on Saturday helped them clinch top spot in Group 4 and with it a place in the third and final phase of the African qualifying competition.
The day also saw Cameroon, Morocco, Burkina Faso and Senegal all win to consolidate their status as leaders in their respective groups. There were eight games on Saturday's card and FIFA.com is here to round up all the headline stories.

After missing out on Germany 2006, the Super Eagles are doubly determined to secure a place at South Africa 2010. To prove the point, the men in green have been in irresistible form in June, winning all four of their Group 4 games this month to make sure of top spot already and all without conceding a single goal. Forced to put together a somewhat makeshift outfit against Equatorial Guinea at the National Stadium in Abuja, Nigeria coach Shaibu Amodu still had the satisfaction of seeing his side make short work of their opponents. The first team to check into the third phase of the qualifying competition, the Nigerians now have the luxury of being able to take it easy in their final two games in September and October.
Surprise of the day

With less than two years to go before they host the FIFA World Cup™ finals, the South Africans are finding the going tough in phase two. The Bafana Bafana suffered a 2-0 defeat to the all-conquering Nigerians before posting a handsome 4-1 win over Equatorial Guinea two weekends ago. Then came last Saturday's 1-0 defeat away to Sierra Leone and today's stalemate against the same opponents, all of which leaves Joel Santana's side with plenty of work to do if they are to grab one of the eight best runners-up spots and thus keep their chances of reaching the 2010 CAF Africa Cup of Nations intact. Nothing less than two wins out of two in their final engagements will do for the Rainbow Nation.

Seven days on from a dissatisfying 0-0 draw in Dar-es-Salaam, Cameroon had plenty of pressure on their shoulders when they entertained Tanzania in the return fixture at the Stade Omnisports Ahmadou-Ahidjo in Yaounde. The Indomitable Lions are fortunate, then, that they have a goalscorer of the caliber of Eto'o to call upon in times of need. The Barcelona man put his side ahead on 67 minutes and made sure of the points with an 89th-minute winner as the Cameroonians registered a 2-1 victory to tighten their grip on first place in Group 1. Eto'o is now joint second-highest scorer in the African preliminaries alongside Mali's Frederic Kanoute and Madagascar's Faneva Andriatsima on four goals, just one behind leading marksman Moumouni Dagano of Burkina Faso.

Big guns sign off in style(FIFA.com) Sunday 22 June 2008

Bringing to a close a marathon month of qualifiers, the biggest names in Africa all shut up shop for the summer with wins on Sunday. Congo DR, Benin, Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, Guinea, Egypt and Mali each took a significant step closer to the third stage with three valuable points.

FIFA.com looks back at the action from Sunday's highest-profile games in the African Zone.

Game of the day
Egypt 2-0 Malawi
Goals: Emad Moteab 17' and 51'

Long made to suffer by Congo DR during their 2-1 opening-match win, then upset 1-0 by Malawi last week, the Pharaohs could settle for nothing less than victory at the Cairo International Stadium this weekend. Malawi were their opponents once again and Egypt exploded out of the blocks to deny the visitors the chance to settle, before taking a deserved lead through Emad Moteab after 17 minutes. With that goal on the board, Hassan Shehata's men contented themselves with protecting their lead, but that did not stop them from wrapping up the result when Moteab notched his second six minutes after the restart. The Egyptians now join Congo DR at the Group 12 summit, trailing only on goal difference. The meeting between the two sides in Kinshasa on 7 September is already shaping up to be a classic.

Surprise of the day
Mozambique 3-0 Madagascar
Goals: Manuel Bucuane 23', Danito Parruque 62' and Elias Pelembe 63'

Heading into their fourth game, Mozambique were propping up the Group 7 table with a solitary point to their name, while the Malagasy team were beginning to look like potential outsiders after three impressive draws. Those roles were reversed in the heat of the Machava stadium in Maputo, with Dutchman Mart Nooij's charges imposing their will with ease on the lacklustre Scorpions. This first victory pulls Mozambique to within a point of Botswana and four behind hot favourites Côte d'Ivoire, all of which could make for a thrilling encounter when the Mozambicans travel to Botswana in the final round of matches on 10 October.

Ismael Bangoura (GUI)

Following a disappointing start which yielded just one point from two matches, Guinea needed nothing a morale-boosting win before the summer break. The Syli National suggested they were on their way back to prime form by collecting a 2-1 success in Namibia last week, and they confirmed that impression with an overwhelming 4-0 victory over the same opponents at the Stade du 28 Septembre in Conakry. Instrumental to their performance was Ismael Bangoura, scorer of a hat-trick in little more than 20 minutes with goals in the 36th, 54th and 58th minutes. The Dinamo Kiev striker made the game safe after his captain Pascal Feindouno had broken the deadlock on 32 minutes, helping Frenchman Robert Nouzaret's troops move into top spot in Group 2, level with Kenya but boasting a better goal difference.

中國客場挫澳大利亞贏尊嚴

（悉尼）中國憑借孫祥早來的進球，在2010年南非世預賽最後一場小組賽，客場以1比0力挫副選出擊的澳大利亞，贏得尊嚴。
由於中國已經提前一輪出局，澳大利亞提前出線，這場比賽對中國來說，基本上是一場榮譽之戰。
如果中國在此場比賽不能奏凱，將創下征戰世界盃預選賽小組賽無勝績的尷尬紀錄，但孫祥在70054人面前的金子般進球，阻止了此紀錄的誕生。這也是澳大利亞自1981年輸給新西蘭之後，第一次在主場佈陣的世預賽落敗。
第10分鐘，中國連續獲得3次前場右路界外球，劉健接應張耀坤擲球，帶至底線前傳中，澳大利亞防線把球頂出禁區，孫祥得球後稍做調整，一腳勁射把球送入網窩。
中國有機會在第57分鐘添功，王棟右翼適時前插於底線前傳向禁區後點的杜震宇，但後者的射門擊中橫樑。

內田篤人在最後一分鐘，在禁區內頭槌探關，皮球彈地後改變方向，穿越措手不及的巴林門將賽耶德默哈默德加法的十指山。
賽耶德默哈默德加法在此前表現出眾，包括在第5分鐘救出格拉斯哥凱爾特人中場中村俊輔的點球。

（阿爾艾因）阿聯酋主場以1比3不敵敘利亞，但仍然憑借一個凈勝球的優勢壓倒對方，拿下第5組的最後一席世界盃亞洲區十強賽資格。
敘利亞必需以3球大勝，才能反超阿聯酋奪小組次名出線，但始終是這麼近又那麼遠。
敘利亞在第34分鐘由阿爾候賽因先拔頭籌，他在易邊後5分鐘攻進個人次球。阿聯酋戰至77分鐘，在敘利亞門將巴爾霍斯在禁區內絆倒阿爾韓馬迪下，獲得點球，伊斯邁馬塔操刀無誤。

沙特痛贈烏茲別克斯坦4蛋

（利雅得）沙特阿拉伯週日在2010年南非世預賽第4組焦點收官戰，以4比0中止烏茲別克斯坦的連勝勢頭，同時報回一箭之仇。
阿杜奧特夫在第6分鐘打破僵局，馬歷克馬亞茲在上半場結束前添功。沙特下半場再進兩球，阿爾哈爾蒂在第55分鐘破網，馬歷克馬亞茲在完場前3分鐘攻進個人次球錦上添花。
沙特憑此勝仗，雪洗了3月在客場以0比3慘敗之恥。

世界盃亞洲區十強賽抽籤規則出爐

（吉隆坡）世界盃亞洲區十強賽隊伍週日悉數產生，卡塔爾和阿聯酋拿下了最後兩個席位。
這兩支西亞勁旅，將與澳大利亞、巴林、伊朗、日本、朝鮮、沙特阿拉伯、韓國和烏茲別克斯坦，爭奪2010年南非世界盃門票。
亞運會金牌得主卡塔爾在迪拜以1比0力克亞洲盃冠軍伊拉克，積分追平澳大利亞，但在凈勝球較為遜色下，以第1組次名資格晉級。
阿聯酋主場以1比3不敵敘利亞，使兩隊同積7分，但前者凈勝球較佳驚險過關。
十支球隊將分成兩個小組廝殺，衝擊世界盃的出線名額。十強賽的抽籤儀式訂於本月27日舉行。
參加十強賽的十支球隊將分成兩個小組，由於20強賽沒有太大的冷門出線，之前確定為前五種子的澳大利亞、韓國、伊朗、沙特和日本全部晉級，不過沙特和日本需要通過抽籤決定最後的名次。

亞足聯官網綜述：南非夢想十強賽何去何從

（吉隆坡）2010年南非世界盃亞洲區第三回合二十強預選賽剛剛偃旗息鼓，十強賽的抽籤儀式就馬上接踵而來，悉數這6輪比賽，展望最終十強賽何去何從，亞足聯官網為您細述道來。

第一組：名副其實『死亡之組』- 澳大利亞、卡塔爾勝利大逃亡

無論何種比賽、無論多少球隊參加，任何足球賽事都有『死亡之組』，而2010年世界盃亞洲區預選賽第三輪的第一小組就是本屆二十強當中名副其實的『死亡之組』。

2007年亞洲杯冠軍伊拉克、2006年多哈亞運會冠軍卡塔爾、2008年德國世界盃唯一入圍16強的澳大利亞和一貫被視為『沉睡巨人』的中國，這毫無疑問成為最有看點的一個小組。

最終的比賽結果也極有戲劇化，伊拉克在先敗之後連勝澳大利亞和中國，為自己的出線贏得了一線生機，但最終天意弄人,被命運愚弄一把，最後一場兵敗卡塔爾而慘遭出局。

『沉睡巨人』中國開局取得3連平，但最終還是沒有醒來，主場連續落敗卡塔爾和伊拉克，只能再繼續沉睡四年，這也讓世人期待到底誰會叫醒這『沉睡的巨人』。澳大利亞到是一路凱歌，連勝卡塔爾提前出線，雖然最後一輪不痛不癢的輸給中國，但人家已經是放眼十強賽，著眼2010年的世界盃了。

第二組：強手巴林、日本波瀾不驚順利晉級

還彌留在4年前世界盃亞洲區和大洋洲淘汰賽失利中的巴林最終在今年的預選賽中表現出色，主場首場比賽力斬日本讓世人一驚，馬斯喀特力克阿曼，曼谷3比2全取泰國，主場1比1戰平泰國之後，巴林以4戰3勝1平的戰績成為第二組最先出線的球隊。

而強手畢竟是強手，日本在先負後平之後，最終憑借自己的強大實力力壓泰國和阿曼，並在最後一輪1比0力克巴林報了首場比賽負於對手的一箭之仇之後成功出線。

第三組：『雙朝神話』，南北兄弟攜手晉級

儘管『兩朝兄弟』之間的隔閡，但在國際足聯的大力協調之下，這些隔閡迎刃而解，隨著『兩朝大戰』兩場比賽0比0的握手言和，韓國與朝鮮最終攜手出線，沒有給同組的約旦和土庫曼斯坦任何機會。

雖然有人曾經在那場韓國先勝情況下，被約旦連扳兩球的比賽之後一度懷疑其實力，但高手畢竟是高手，過去20多年來入圍歷屆世界盃的韓國最終維護了自己的尊嚴，將會繼續向2010年世界盃的目標邁進。

第四小組：沙特神話依舊烏茲別克新軍傲領群雄

第四組的烏茲別克斯坦是本屆世界盃亞洲區預選賽第一個提前出線的國家，連勝戰績讓其在3場比賽之後就提前3場比賽入圍十強賽。

儘管沙特神話故事依然在這個小組賽中重複多次，但如果不是本組另外兩個對手新加坡和黎巴嫩的實力微弱，恐怕這個神話也只是夢想。

第五組：伊朗慢入角色阿聯酋慘戰入圍

亞洲傳統強敵伊朗是在讓本國球迷驚出一身冷汗，首場比賽竟被敘利亞在自己的主場戰成1比1平，換帥之後的第二輪客場比賽又被科威特2比2戰平，第三輪主場被阿聯酋0比0逼平，伊朗的出線前景曾經一度變得非常昏暗。

但強隊畢竟是強隊，有著強隊均有『慢入角色』特徵的『波斯鐵騎』最終在接下來的3場比賽中連勝，在極大壓力下方顯強隊本色，以12分不敗戰績提前一輪入圍十強賽

來自海灣地區的另外一支勁敵阿聯酋也是為最後一張十強賽入場券戰至最後一輪，雖然沒能提前出線，但幸運最終站到了自己一邊，最後一場1比3完敗敘利亞，但還是取得了關鍵的一粒入球，憑藉著這粒入球，阿聯酋成功在進球數上多於敘利亞一球，幸運的拿到了這張『無價之寶』的十強賽資格，同樣繼續著自己的世界盃夢想。
