BRUNICO - Julio Ricardo Cruz converted a first-half penalty, with Santiago Solari and Adriano adding to the tally after the break to give Inter a 3-0 win over the Chinese Olympic team in today's first outing of the pre-season.
The Argentine forward beat Chinese keeper Wang Dalei - who trained with the Nerazzurri along with team-mate Zhang Wenzhao for ten days last September - after a penalty foul on David Suazo in the 33rd minute.
Honduran import Suazo had a few chances himself in the opening fifteen minutes with some trademark bursts of pace. China's best chance of the early period fell to playmaker Chen Tao, whose well taken effort finished just wide.
Cruz, who went close before Toldo denied Djukovic's side with saves Jiang Ning and Shen Longyuan, delighted the crowd of two thousand fans with a spectacular strike on the turn on the half hour.
Italian champions Inter, playing in shirts with the Pirelli logo in Chinese characters, doubled their lead through Solari thirteen minutes into a lower key second half, just after Adriano saw a lob shot go just over the bar. The Brazilian completed the scoring a minute later after turning a defender in the box.
Wang Dalei did well to stop Inter scoring a fourth in the final stages with a good save from Mario Balotelli.
