Parma Withdraw Rossi Interest  
Parma appear to have pulled out of the race to sign Giuseppe Rossi, just as Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has conceded that there might not be enough room at Old Trafford for the Azzurrii sharpshooter.


“Parma’s frontline is not in need of any reinforcements for the moment,” insisted the Tardini outfit’s director of sport Gabriele Zamagna to many people's surprise.

“There are many strikers looking to impress in pre-season training and we will in time evaluate whether we need something extra later on.”

The timing of Zamagna’s announcement is curious to say the least, as Manchester have all but eliminated any doubt about whether they would be willing to sell the highly rated 20-year-old, in order to make room for the expected arrival of Carlos Tevez.  

Parma were reported to have made a 10m Euro offer for Rossi last month but evidently this did not make much of an impression on the Old Trafford hierarchy.  

The Gialoblu fans were desperate to see the slight-built American-born striker back at the Tardini next season. He arrived on loan on January 18th and soon conquered their hearts, scoring nine times in 19 appearances, which proved fundamental for the Ducali’s survival.[goal.com]
