Inter sign Maniche - official

Inter have completed the loan signing of Portuguese playmaker Maniche from Atletico Madrid.
After a series of claims and denials in the last few days, the 30-year-old has finally put pen to paper to join the Italian champions on loan until June.
In the summer, the Nerazzurri will have the option to make the switch permanent for a fee of around £4m.
“I think that he is an excellent player and with the problems that Walter Samuel and Olivier Dacourt have he could bring useful experience and quality to all competitions,” Beneamata boss Roberto Mancini enthused yesterday.
“It is very important to have a player like Maniche and it is very good that he can play in the Champions League.”
There had been reports over the last few days that Mancini had tried to prevent the arrival of the former Chelsea man as he felt he was surplus to requirements and it remains to be seen what role Maniche plays for Serie A’s formidable leaders. |
