Miami Heat waives Bobby Jones

The here-today, gone-today Miami Heat career of Bobby Jones has taken a familiar turn.
Ten days after claiming the journeyman guard off waivers from the New York Knicks, the Heat today released Jones.
Had the Heat not made the move by 4 p.m., it would have had to guarantee Jones' salary for the 2008-09 season.
To say the relationship between the Heat and Jones has been tumultuous might be an understatement. Last season, the Heat released Jones immediately after he led the team in scoring in a March 21 game against Washington. That release came upon the expiration of Jones' 10-day contract.
