AS says the pair bumped into eachother on June 29 in Vienna and during the friendly conversation, Eto'o pleaded: "Take me to Madrid, president "

"Please president, please do what you can. What happened in the past is already forgotten and I have many friends there. If Madrid came for me, it would make me very happy "
Calderon discussed the exchange with confidants before Spain's clash with Germany during the European Championships.

The Real president poured cold water on the prospect of landing Eto'o yesterday: "I do not know where this comes from. I expect that Barcelona, of course, would never sell to Madrid. There is no case."
