Xabi Alonso (foot) and Fernando Torres (hamstring) have declared themselves fit to start for Liverpool.
Alvaro Arbeloa is also set to return after a hamstring problem, but centre-back Daniel Agger has a calf injury and may miss the game.
Everton will be without key midfielder Marouane Fellaini, who is suspended.
Up front, Everton are still without long-term injury victims James Vaughan (knee), Aiyegbeni Yakubu (Achilles) and Louis Saha (hamstring).

"We have finished the conversations about the contract for now and we can talk about Everton.
"Everton are in form, they are playing well, winning games and not conceding goals so it will be a difficult game.
"It is always something different when we play Everton and I am learning more about the rivalry every year."

"We have not played well in the last few games against Liverpool as we have not reached the levels we should have.
"But I'm relaxed because I see how well the players are performing - they are passing it well and creating chances.
