Growth in Hong Kong
Over the last week and a half we have seen a dramatic increase in the number of Buzzerbeater in Hong Kong. In the first two weeks of April, Hong Kong has grown from around 400 managers to nearly 1400, enough that it needs a new division. For countries with more than 200 managers, this is the largest growth we have seen in BuzzerBeater in the last two years!
From what we understand, we owe this growth to the hard work of the Hong Kong community, who took the time and effort to write personalized endorsements and to maintain active discussions about the game on several prominent Hong Kong forums dedicated to discussions of sports and online gaming. As a measure of our appreciation for this unprecedented effort and success, we are going to extend a period of free supporter to all of our managers in Hong Kong for the next three months. While we normally keep extra teams available to add new managers during the season, in this case their hard work forced us to make a special effort to expand the size of Hong Kong in the middle of the season. Our system is not designed to accommodate midseason expansion, but this is the sort of hard work we are happy to have! |
