Barcelona 1-0 APOEL: Piqué with the decider and Samper with a historical debut

The Champions League took of at Camp Nou on Wednesday night with a quite special debut as 19-year old Sergi Samper became the first player in history to debut for FC Barcelona not having featured for any other team, joining Barça at the age of only six.The Camp Nou crowed got to see a quite boring Barça that did what they had to but not much more as they defeated APOEL FC with 1-0.
Luis Enrique decided to rest five of the players from his starting line-up against Athletic. As Sergio Busquets, Martin Montoya, Jordi Alba, Pedro Rodriguez and Javier Mascherano all got to see the game from the stands.
Instead Dani Alvés returned to action while Munir El Hadaddi made his Champions League debut. Ter Stegen got his official Barcelona debut and youngster Sergi Samper saw his official first team debut.
Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr linked up well and would create danger on several occasions, but APOEL goalkeeper Urko Pardo would keep a clean sheet for about a half-hour.
It was a quite special evening for Urko Pardo who is an old Barcelona youth-product having played in the clubs youth teams for eight years between 1999-2007. Before the game Pardo expressed that he “have trained with Messi and isn’t afraid of him”.
And old teammate Lionel Messi wouldn’t get any goals this evening however he would be behind the only goal of the game.
When Messi would find Gerard Piqué with a freekick in the 28th minute that the defender headed in. It was the seventh goal from Piqué in the Champions League making him the best goalscoring defender in Champions League history for Barcelona.
The name who was on everyones lips before the game was 19-year old Sergi Samper and the youngster did a great game getting 90 minutes and looking rather comfortable, despite a few misplaced passes.

分別係:- 前者已試過於正規軍陣上放膽作出需要冒險的創造性傳球, 有別於後者那種過於保守的傳球方式 (而其作決定的時間也有點過長了吧, 當場陣上隊友丹迪好明顯不下一次對此不滿) - 前者果真踢殿後位的, 而後者不然...(也許該跟其父一樣踢攻中; 況且佢身型太過 "未發育" 了吧)
Otherwise Barcelona did not impress while APOEL showed great discipline and courage, with Manduca getting close to a 1-1 goal in the very last minute, but a great save from Ter Stegen saved Barça who could get away with the win.
