DEJAN STANKOVIC REJOINS INTER
F.C. Internazionale is delighted to announce the return of Dejan Stankovic to the club in the role of First Team Club Manager
MILAN - F.C. Internazionale is delighted to announce the return of Dejan Stankovic to the club in the role of First Team Club Manager.
A modern-day Nerazzurri legend, Dejan collected 326 competitive appearances for Inter during his playing days, weighing in with 42 goals - many of them spectacular - and helping the club claim no fewer than 15 trophies. Five of those came in the unforgettable calendar year of 2010.
As a member of Roberto Mancini's backroom staff, Stankovic will work in close contact with the club's management team assisting in relations with first-team players on and off the pitch.
Managing Director Marco Fassone extended a warm welcome to the returning Stankovic, speaking in glowing terms of the new First Team Club Manager: "It is with immense pleasure and joy that I welcome an Inter legend such as Dejan Stankovic. I am sure that, just as he did so magnificently during his playing career, he will make a decisive contribution to Inter's success around the world."
Dejan Stankovic expressed his own delight at the news, stating: "I am honoured to be coming back to Inter. I am thrilled and excited because I've always said these colours will remain on my skin forever. I cried the day I realised I wouldn't be pulling on the Nerazzurri shirt anymore. I'm back here now, with a sense of pride and determination, to do my best for the club in a different role." |
