Official: Chievo redeem Zukanovic
Chievo have confirmed the signing of full-back Ervin Zukanovic on a permanent basis from Belgian side Gent.
The 28-year-old had been on loan with the Flying Donkeys, but has now been snapped up permanently.
“AC Chievo Verona announces that it has exercised its option to permanently acquire Gent player Ervin Zukanovic,” a statement on the club’s website confirmed.
However, the Bosnian may not be staying long, as he is believed to be a target for Inter.
It was reported in April that Chievo would exercise their right to sign the player permanently for €1m, before selling him on to the Nerazzurri for around €3.5m.
