"I feel well at Boca"
In the last few days rumours have been making the rounds that Boca’s midfielder Fernando Gago has caught the eye of several European clubs. Gago is one of the most important players of his present Club.
European media write that Real Madrid and Inter are thinking of hiring him, but Gago now doesn’t want to think about the possibility of a transfer.
“Truthfully, I’m very much at ease right now, knowing that I have to try to do things the right way and to enjoy the present moment. I’m under contract at Boca and I try to stay on the sideline regarding everything that’s being said. Sure, if the possibility of a transfer comes my way I’ll have a look at it, but for the time being I want to stay here so I can continue to play at Boca” Gago asserted.
Boca’s midfielder was a key player of the team that won the Recopa, the Apertura and the Southamerican Cup in 2005. "Sincerely, I feel very happy about everything that was achieved last semester” Gago said.
Concerning what is coming up the midfielder commented: “It’s quite possible that Boca will look like a different team, more rested, physically in better shape. We know that the year’s end was very hard on us on account of the streak of matches we had to face”.
"I don’t think that we’re the only candidates to win the Clausura tournament. That’s what was being said during the Apertura and until the very end no clear winner had emerged. That’s why I say that we have to be smart and to go on growing as a team, there is still room for improvement”, he added.
Boca’s midfielder doesn’t relinquish the hope of being on the player list for Germany’s World Cup: "The hope to be part of the National Team exists in me, as it must in every player now that the event is around the corner. Anyhow, I must remain calm, there is still time, I have the support and I must continue to do things well. My hopes continue unabated, the coach hasn’t yet published the list but, I insist, the motto is to remain calm with the hope that there may be a chance for me” Gago concluded.
