Signori Hungary for more

Former Italian international striker Giuseppe Signori has been snapped up by Hungarian side FC Sopron, until the end of the current season.
The 37-year-old was a free agent after he parted company with Greek side Iraklis during the northern summer.
Sopron, third from bottom in the Hungarian first division, will be hoping Signori can lift its fortunes in front of goal after just one win in eight starts.
After 188 goals during a stellar Serie A career that included spells at Foggia, Lazio, Sampdoria and Bologna, Signori left Italy in 2004 for Greece and also spent some time with Qatari club Al Arabi.

Italian legend Signori signs for Hungary's Sopron
BUDAPEST, Oct 20 (Reuters) - Former Lazio striker and Italian international Giuseppe Signori has joined Hungarian Cup winners Sopron.
Sopron said on its website that although Signori, 37, was not in top physical condition, his knowledge of the game had not faded.
Signori, who had an earlier trial with Hungarian league champions Debrecen, has been signed to turn around the dismal fortunes of the club this season.
Sopron are 14th in the 16-team Hungarian first division and have scored just six goals in eight matches. |
