Mark's ready for lift-off

Mark Noble says joining Town on loan was an easy decision to make despite the Club's disappointing start to the season.

The 19-year-old West Ham midfielder has been cleared to train with Blues this week and will sign a three month loan on Friday and go straight into Town's squad for the weekend game against Hull.

"I know Ipswich have not had a good start but I don't read anything into the first few games of the season," Mark told Ipswich World.

"I heard the team played well against Crystal Palace last week and were unlucky not to get anything from that match and the Wolves game.

"The fact that Ipswich are down at the bottom at the moment doesn't worry me at all. With the size of the club, the support it enjoys and the quality of players here, I expect Ipswich to start moving up the table.

"I had a few clubs that were said to be interested in me but coming to Ipswich was an easy decision to make and I can't wait to get going."

West Ham have a recall option after a month and Town are also in negotations with the Hammers to seek clearance for the former England U18 skipper to play against Peterborough in the Carling Cup.  

Mark has been handed the No.20 shirt in the Town squad.

Danny Karbassiyoon's contract with Burnley Football Club was formally cancelled on Tuesday, August 15.

The 22-year-old American has struggled to overcome injuries since arriving at Turf Moor in the summer of 2005 on a free transfer from Arsenal.

He was originally one of four players placed on the transfer list this summer at Turf Moor. But the player has now parted company with the club with the intention of returning to his homeland.

Burnley manager Steve Cotterill said: "Danny has been extremely unlucky with injuries from the first time he came to the club and, after seeing a couple of specialists, it is probably best that he gives his injury time to settle.

"Therefore we felt, in the interests of both parties, it would be better to part company amicably."

Cotterill added: "We have had a good chat this morning (Tuesday) and Danny is looking forward to going home to be with his family.

"We thank him for his efforts at Burnley Football Club and are sorry and disappointed it has ended up this way.

"But we wish him all the best and maybe look forward to seeing him in the future playing in the MLS."

Karbassiyoon made a total of six appearances as a substitute for the Clarets - the last coming in the 1-0 defeat away to Coventry City in February.

Cisse's Reserve Outing
City boss Tony Pulis will run the rule over Senegal international midfielder Aliou Cisse during tonight's reserve game at Sheffield Wednesday.

The former World Cup star has linked up with the Potters on trial and is currently a free agent after being released by Portsmouth last summer.

Cisse began his career in France and moved to England in 2002 on the back of an impressive World Cup, joining Birmingham from Montpellier for £4.5 million.

He spent two years at St. Andrews before switching to Portsmouth for £300,000, but injury blighted his time on the South Coast.
