Radio Solent has just said that SFC turned down an offer last week saying the player was NOT for sale.
They also said that DC then contacted his agent (STE 114R , I think). They ended by saying that SFC had reported DC to the FA for an illegal approach and that the player was HAPPY AT SAINTS.

Sunderland have clinched a record-breaking £9million deal for Hearts goalkeeper Craig Gordon, according to media reports.

The transfer fee is the largest paid by a British club for a goalkeeper and also breaks The Black Cats' club record fee of £6.75m, spent on Tore Andre Flo five years ago.

The highly-rated 24-year-old Scotland international had been expected to hold talks with Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill before making his choice.

But Gordon has agreed a five-year with Sunderland's after undergoing a medical at the club on Tuesday.

It is understood that Sunderland will pay an initial £7m, plus £2m in future payments dependent on appearances.

Gordon had spent two days training with Sunderland after a fee was agreed with Hearts.
