Hi everybody, here I would like to declare my candidacy as Hong Kong U20 Coach.
Personal Profile
I joined HT since Dec04. My team is BEYOU36 (112325), the champion of Div II.1 of Hong Kong in season 18. I used to login hattrick at least once a day for most of my time. I will not rate myself as a very well-experienced manager, but I think my 10 seasons hattrick time should provide me with enough vision as U20 coach. I would love to contribute to HK community so I have been HK NT assistant coach for Winston and I have learnt a lot about NT management from him and Ronny. So I think I am suitable candidate for this challenging position.
Coach Team
I am pleased to have agreement from HKCM-B (791937) and TZZero (793000) to assist me to run the post for HK U20 coach. I would say they are talent managers who have their own decent teams after playing for just a few seasons. HKCM-B has great interest in YA and will monitor the player in YA of Hong Kong teams. TZZero is the assistant of Ronny in HK U20 for last few seasons. I am sure he can help me much in monitoring current players’ development. They used to spend lots of time in hattrick, which I think is essential in U20 management. For U20 World Cup scheduling, I will sincerely ask the opinion of former U20 manager GM-Ronny (161023) and the current HK NT trainer WinstonLam (112317). I am sure they will give me a helping hand whenever an advice is needed. Obviously, wise ideas are welcome to post on HK NT/U20 Fed or ht-mail me.
Vision
In term of U20 team direction, we would mainly follow Ronny's initiative in last terms on bumping new blood for HK NT. We would like to see most of Hong Kong U20 players trained in competitive teams and perhaps Hong Kong teams too. I have known a number of local managers who are interested in training local U20 youngsters. With new substitution policy implemented soon, I am sure more and more young talents may have the chance to explore themselves in U20 matches. We see the adaptability to new match engine is a key to success in the future U20 World Cup.
Team Building/Selection
At club level I always try to build a young and balance team that is suitable in various tactics. Two seasons ago, Hattrick announce there are several new changes in game engine and since then, I have tried to build my dream team by switching to passing training base on what new systems needed. It has been proven by winning Div II champion and entering Quarter final of HK Cup that I got some kind of success. At U20 level, I plan to apply the same philosophy as my own team, so player with different training regime will all have chance to be involved with Hong Kong U20 Team due to different tactics used.
One thing that I have been proud of my team is that I can play various tactics like CA, AIM, AOW well with only a team of 20-22 players. Similarly, for U20 competitive matches, team selection will be mainly base on tactical requirements, skills, form and specialty. The more tactics the player adapted, the bigger chance for him to play for U20. For friendly matches, our plan is to play those with better potential and need the experience boost. For friendly matches, we will also consider team manager request to rest their player.
U20-NT connection
As I have stated, we mainly aim to provide NT with fresh talents, so the connection of U20 of NT is always important and essential. As I am the current NT assistant coach, I am familiar with NT’s progress which is always an advantage. I feel free to provide the NT manager with most updated information of who can be brought to the NT to strengthen the team.
Communication
We will keep on using the long established HT Federation (26674) for U20 related matter discussion (and knowledge keeping). We also plan to have regular communication on U20 news/activities via HKG conference, HKBFF and HKCM forum. I am an active member of both local forum and have no problem to communicate in English as well as Chinese. This should be a great advantage for me as communication with local foreign trainers and buyers when we need to find new trainers for the players.
Training of Talents and YA
HKCM-B will be fully responsible for training of talents. He will briefly explain this part.
So when the election starts, please vote the manager whom you feel most suitable.
