CaughtOffside reports that manager Sir Alex Ferguson is apparently keen on the talented 27-year-old, who is valued at around £12 million.

If the Red Devils did make a move, it would be in-keeping with their transfer activity of recent years, which has seen them go hunting for players in Portugal on several occasions.

Cristiano Ronaldo has been the standout of the crop, but they have also picked up Nani and Anderson from the Portuguese Liga.

However, it is possible that nabbing Meireles could be more difficult without the help of former assistant coach and current Portugal boss Carlos Queiroz, who is thought to have been instrumental in all three of the signings.
Another player being linked with United at present is Sevilla winger Jesus Navas.

CaughtOffside indicated that the team are keeping tabs on the influential 24-year-old, who is estimated to be worth approximately £16 million.

Much of the transfer rumours involving United have been about midfielders this summer, as Sir Alex needs to look for replacements for Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs, who are nearing the end of their careers.

Roberto Carlos confirms Roma offer Saturday 26 June, 2010

Roberto Carlos has confirmed he was contacted by Roma, “but I don’t want to leave Corinthians.”

The Brazilian veteran is still going strong aged 37 and today there were reports he was offered a return to Serie A.


“It’s true, I was contacted by Roma,” Roberto Carlos told globoesporte.com.


“But I don’t want to go. I don’t want to leave Corinthians.”


The former Inter and Real Madrid star has a contract with the Brazilian club until 2011.


It is rumoured Corinthians are already eager to begin negotiations for an extension.

Marco Motta is upset at the fact Udinese won the blind auction for his contract. “I always said I’d never want to leave Roma.”

The full-back was co-owned by the two clubs and a deal could not be reached for how to continue this arrangement.


It went to an auction with bids in sealed envelopes and Udinese offered €1.5m compared to the Giallorossi’s €1.3m.


“I had always said that I am incredibly happy in Rome and never wanted to leave this city,” he told Sky Sport Italia.


“I only asked that my contract continued to be shared between Roma and Udinese.


“The Friulani believed in me more with their offer and I thank them, but the bitterness and disappointment of leaving Roma remains.”


It is unlikely Motta will stay at Udinese, as it’s already reported they are in talks to sell him on to Juventus

根據傳媒Sky Sports報道，祖雲達斯已成功獲得巴里後衛邦路斯的加盟，下周將會正式公布。

老將簡拿華路下季將會轉戰阿聯酋聯賽，而邦路斯相信可成為簡拿華路的接班人。這名球員現在是巴里與熱拿亞共同擁有。昨天，老婦人聲稱已跟巴里達成協議，現在亦差不多與球員談妥條件。

據報道，邦路斯可能在周四便可以正式加盟祖雲。都靈市巨人球隊一直也希望收購他，興趣甚至比買入巴勒莫的卡積亞更甚。

23歲的他於上季有很出色的表現，為巴里上陣38場。他在世界盃的三場比賽中，還沒有機會為意大利隊上陣，球隊已被踢出局。

Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti is set to make a £17 million move for AC Milan striker Marco Borriello, according to Mediaset.

The Italian hit man blossomed at the San Siro last season and notched 14 goals in Serie A. Despite missing the cut for Marcello Lippi's World Cup 2010 squad, he remains a highly-rated player.

His emergence has alerted the Blues boss to his talent after he failed to make the mark when they were together at the San Siro. A big money bid from the west London outfit would be hard to turn down by the cash-strapped club, especially as they look to fund a move for Brazil hot-shot Luis Fabiano.

西甲西維爾隊主席德爾尼多今天承認，球隊的主力前鋒、巴西人法比安奴目前正與意大利AC米蘭隊接觸，不過德爾尼多同時表示，西維爾需要得到一個合適的報價才會放法比安奴走人。

德爾尼多今天接受採訪時說：「不錯，法比安奴正在與AC米蘭接觸，不過我們至今還沒有收到米蘭方面的報價，西維爾只有在收到合適的報價後才會放人，現在法比安奴與我們還有一年合約，我們也希望能與他續約。」

此前有報導稱，巴西前鋒法比安奴已經就個人待遇問題與AC米蘭達成了一致，他的經紀人富恩特斯也透露，AC米蘭有誠意簽下法比安奴，而法比安奴本人也非常嚮往去米蘭踢球，現在就等米蘭向西維爾方面報價了。

接下來的問題就看AC米蘭了，意大利當地時間昨天中午，米蘭已經官方宣佈新帥艾利格上任，而此時若能簽下巴西隊的主力中鋒無疑是雙喜臨門的好事，據報導米蘭方面很快就將派人飛赴西維爾，與對方商談轉會費的問題。

現在擋在法比安奴轉會前的最大障礙有兩個，一是資金問題、二是亨特拉爾。其實這兩個問題可以一起解決，米蘭只要賣掉亨特拉爾就會有資金購買法比安奴，不過此前亨特拉爾拒絕轉會的事情讓米蘭方面很難辦，如果荷蘭人不離開，即便法比安奴加盟，米蘭的前鋒線人就太多了：法比安奴、亨特拉爾、波里路、柏圖、恩沙基和朗拿甸奴，這樣配置完全沒有必要。

【商台互動體育組】據《每日郵報》最新消息指出，應屆英超聯冠軍車路士，即將開價收購皇家馬德里中場雲達華治，並以這位荷蘭國腳，成為新球季的「中場靈魂」。據悉，皇馬方面已願意放走雲達華治。

雲達華治在轉會市場相當搶手，早於上月，曼聯領隊費格遜已鎖定這位荷蘭中場為「史高斯接班人」。不過，費Sir在收購行動上將遇到勁敵，據《每日郵報》透露，車路士打算向皇馬開價1,000萬鎊，希望把雲達華治帶到史丹福橋。

今夏，車路士將放走波歷克、迪高及祖高爾幾位創造型中場，而陣中將只餘下林柏特一人，故據報雲達華治將成藍戰士「新中場靈魂」。西班牙傳媒亦報道，皇馬方面會在世盃過後賣走雲達華治套現。

Inter target Rafinha

Inter are already thinking about after Maicon and have been scouting Schalke's Brazilian right-back Rafinha, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.

Maicon looks almost certain to join Real Madrid this summer and negotiations have already reportedly begun between the two clubs with a view to a €28m transfer.

Il Corriere understands that Inter have made an inquiry about Rafinha, but Schalke aren't willing to give him up without a fight.

The German giants are in the Champions League next year and don't want to lose their best players ahead of such an important campaign.

The 24-year-old's agent Naor Malaquias believes his client is worth €5m, but Schalke are reportedly looking for double that figure.

However, Schalke may be inclined to cash in on Rafinha while they can as his contract is due to expire this time next season.
