Rumors: Stephon Marbury <->Al Harrington + Tony Delk + Jason Collier

Chad Ford of ESPN is reporting that the Knicks and Hawks are in discussions about a blockbuster trade involving Stephon Marbury and Al Harrington. Mr. Ford has been known to dream up scenerios that do not pan out, so there may not be much validity to it.

Though let’s say, for discussions sake, that talks were actually occurring. Would this be the right move for us to make? Would Stephon Marbury accept being dealt to Atlanta? What kind of impact would this have on our cap space? These are all important questions that I’ll try to answer.

The deal would include Al Harrington, Tony Delk, and Jason Collier heading to New York in exchange for Marbury. If this went down, our cap space would not be affected. We’d still have over twenty million dollars to spend on free agents.

Larry Hughes has come to terms with the Cleveland Cavaliers on a five-year deal, his agent, Jeff Wechsler, told ESPN Insider Chad Ford.

"Larry intends to sign a contract with the Cavs when the moritorium ends," Wechsler said.

Wechsler wouldn't comment on the actual numbers of the deal, but it's believed to be a five-year deal between $65 million and $70 million.

Reed的經紀人Kevin Poston透露，公鹿球團開出六年、價值9000-9600萬美元的優渥合約來留住Reed，但受限於薪資空間問題的騎士，最高只能開出五年、7000萬美元的價碼。

Poston毫不諱言地說：「合約價碼當然是最重要的部份！不過，公鹿在今年選秀會上補進潛力十足的Bogut，加上Ford傷勢好轉，未來的公鹿將相當具有競爭力。而且公鹿球團積極表明他們想要留住Reed的想法，他將是未來公鹿陣營的核心人物。」

身高6呎6吋的Reed上個球季(2004-05)替公鹿打了75場例行賽事，平均出賽時間達38分鐘，每場比賽可轟下23分、4.2籃板及2.3助攻，三分球命中率達35.5%(293投104中)，而且一整個球季下來，他的出手次數多達1418次，排在聯盟第八位，顯示他在公鹿陣中享有「自由開火權」。
