Everton "very interested" in Ben Arfa

Everton could be set to sign Marseille's Hatem Ben Arfa this summer after the player's agent claimed that the club were ''very interested'' in the midfielder.
Ben Arfa was the subject of a loan bid from the Toffees in January, which was rejected by the French club, but Frederic Guerra claims that David Moyes' side could come back for his client again.
"Everton have been very interested for a while now and it's a possibility," he told the Sun.
Ben Arfa, 23, is contracted to Marseille until the end of 2011-12 and scored five goals in 34 appearances last season.
The midfielder is rated at around £8 million and has revealed his desire to leave France in the past.
"I have demonstrated this season what I can offer at the top level," he said. "To have a chance to play in England would be wonderful but the sporting project is more interesting to me than any sums of money." |
