Liverpool have confirmed they are in discussions with Albacete to bring speedy winger Mark Gonzales to Anfield.        

Reds' boss Rafael Benitez is keen to sign the 20 year old Chilean international on a season long loan with a view to a permanent deal.
  
Club spokesman Ian Cotton said: "We are in discussions with Albacete with a view to bringing the player to the club on August 1 for a season long loan.
  
"The deal is not yet finalised and would be subject to a work permit being granted."
  
Gonzales is currently sidelined with a cruciate knee ligament injury sustained in May.
